As Yıldız Rover, we were proud to organize the second edition of ROVER-UP with the valuable support of YTÜ Yıldız Teknopark and our main sponsor Paribu Hub. As a growing tradition, ROVER-UP continues to bring together university rover teams from across Türkiye and strengthen the country’s expanding rover ecosystem.
With the participation of 16 distinguished rover teams from different universities, this year’s event once again demonstrated how strong, active, and sustainable the rover community in Türkiye has become. Teams representing their universities under the roof of Yıldız Technical University created an inspiring environment shaped by engineering, collaboration, and shared passion.
The first session of the event featured a rover- and space-themed game organized in a fun “rovers are competing” format. This session created an energetic start to the day, allowing participants to engage in a friendly and entertaining atmosphere while strengthening team spirit.
In the second session, participants came together for a game of Taboo, which brought a lively and interactive dynamic to the event. This activity encouraged communication, quick thinking, and teamwork, while also making the gathering even more enjoyable for everyone involved.
The final session included a quiz competition based on giving the closest answer, which added excitement and curiosity to the program. It offered participants a chance to test their knowledge in a fun way and ended the event on a highly engaging note.
Between sessions, dedicated networking breaks gave all teams the opportunity to connect more closely, exchange ideas, and share their experiences. These moments of interaction became one of the most valuable parts of ROVER-UP, as they enabled meaningful knowledge transfer and strengthened the sense of community among Türkiye’s rover teams.
More than just an event, ROVER-UP was a meeting point for teams united by a common vision. Beyond competition, it highlighted the value of solidarity, communication, and collaboration among young engineers working toward similar goals.
